Im Jahr 1991 erschuf Lehmann Patentwerk (Eigentümer der Marke LGB) die "Queen Mary Serie" zum vermarkten von Lokomotiven und Wagen, die nach Vorbildern von Regelspurbahnen lackiert waren aber von denen kein Regelspurprototyp existierte.
Der Name wurde gewählt in Erinnerung an die 1990 LGB CIub Versammlung, an Bord des Ozeanriesen Queen Mary in Long Beach, Kalifornien.

Am 3. Mai 1991 wurde in USA die Markeneintragung für "Queen Mary Series Lehmann-Gross-Bahn der Big Train" von Ernst Paul Lehmann, Patentwerk, D-8500 Nürnberg 50, Deutschland eingereicht.
Die USPTO Marken Seriennummer war 74163441.

In 1991, Lehmann Patentwerk (the owners of LGB) created the "Queen Mary Series" to market locomotives and rolling stock that were painted in liveries of standard gauge railroads but where no standard gauge prototype actually existed.
The series name was chosen to commemorate the 1990 LGB Model Railroad CIub convention, held aboard the ocean liner Queen Mary at Long Beach, California.

On May 3rd, 1991, a U.S. federal trademark registration was filed for "Queen Mary Series Lehmann- Gross-Bahn the Big Train" by Ernst Paul Lehmann, Patentwerk, D-8500 Nürnberg 50, Germany.
The USPTO trademark serial number assigned was 74163441.
