Consolidation Dampflok, unbeschriftet (Steam locomotive, undecorated)
Description: English below

Vorbild:

Prototype:
The Consolidation 2-8-0 Steam Locomotive was one of the most common steam locomotives built and used in the United States and Canada with over 33,000 being built.
The first 2-8-0 was built by Matthias Baldwin in 1866. The locomotive was named "Consolidation" in honor of the recent consolidation of the Beaver Meadow, Penn Haven & White Haven and Lehigh & Mahanoy railroads into the Lehigh Valley.
The Consolidation became the standard freight locomotive by 1875 when railroads found they could move twice the weight for about half the cost compared to using 2-6-0 steam locomotives. The Consolidation remained a popular locomotive until the diesels took over since they were dependable work horses particularly adept for use on branch lines with curve and weight restrictions where operation with larger locomotives was not practical.

Model:
The Aristocraft 2-8-0 is based on a Consolidation E-27 class steam locomotive none of which were preserved. Examples of 2-8-0 steam locomotives can be found in service at tourist railroads and on display in museums.

Features include:
* Operating smoke unit
* Can motor drive with cooling fan
* All drive axles gear driven
* Four ball-bearing equipped gearboxes
* Three flywheels for better performance
* Operating headlight & marker/classification lights
* Movable cab side windows
* Metal side rods
* Blackened brass grab railings
* Detailed cab interior
* Engineer figure
* MU plugs for battery hookup
* DCC/RCC compatible socket in tender
