Insgesamt 96 dieser Meyer-Gelenklokomotiven wurden für die Königlich Sächsischen Staatseisenbahnen beschafft. Viele davon sind heute noch bei zahlreichen Museumsbahnen im Einsatz. Das LGB-Modell gibt eine solche Maschine der Epoche I authentisch wieder. Das Modell verfügt über folgende technische Merkmale: Antrieb aller Achsen mit zwei zugstarken Motoren, Rauchgenerator, Betriebsartenwahlschalter, Haftreifen, Lichtwechsel mit der Fahrtrichtung.

A total of 96 of this “Meyer” articulated locomotive was built for the Royal Saxon State Railways. A few are still in operation in heritage railways. The LGB model has drive on all axles with two powerful motors, a smoke generator, operating mode selector switch, traction tires, light changes with direction of travel.
