Vorbild:
Die KATHI der Waldbahn Rotgraben-Waidling ist eine ehemalige K.u.K. Heeresfeldbahnlokomotive. Diese zweiachsigen Dampflokomotiven wurden bei Decauville in Frankreich gebaut und haben sich während des ersten Weltkrieges sehr gut bewährt. Später gelangten sie zu den verschiedenen Wald-, Feld- und Industriebahnen mit 600 mm Spurweite. Sie taten lange, teilweise bis zur Verschrottung zuverlässig ihren Dienst.

Diese Aussenrahmenlokomotive ist der maßstäbliche Nachbau der Ursprungsausführung, ausgestattet mit einem gekapselten Getriebe.
Das Fahrgestell ist komplett aus Messing gefertigt. Die Steuerung ist ebenfalls aus Messing gefräst, auf alt getrimmt, vernickelt und vernietet. Das Gehäuse ist aus hochwertigem Kunststoff gespritzt, mit freistehenden Leitungen und feinen Messinggußteilen versehen. Je eine funktionierende Lampe vorn und hinten sowie ein Seuthe Rauchgenerator vollenden das Modell.
Fünfpolmotor, Antrieb auf beide Achsen mit Schnecke, bis 18 Volt Gleichstrom.
Diese Lok ist als Bausatz oder als Fertigmodell erhältlich.

Prototype:
The KATHI locomotive of the logging railway Rotgraben-Waidling is a former Austria-Hungary military locomotive. These two-axle locomotives were built by Decauville in France and have proven themselves very well during the First World War. Later they ended up in service at different logging, field and industrial railways running on 600 mm gauge track. They were in service a long time, some providing reliable service until they were scrapped.

This model locomotive with an outer frame construction is a true-to-scale replica of the original version.
The model is equipped with an enclosed gearbox. The chassis is made entirely of brass. The drive linkeage is also machined from brass, weathered, nickel-plated and riveted. The housing is molded from high quality plastic, with free-standing lines attached and detailed brass castings added. A working lamp front and back and a Seuthe smoke generator complete this model.
Five-pole motor, powering both axles with a worm drive, voltage up to 18 volts DC.
This locomotive is available in kit form or as a completely assembled model.
