Description: Von 1949 bis 1953 baute die Electro Motive Division (EMD) von General Motors eine fast unglaubliche Zahl von 2366 F7-A Dieselloks. Mit ihrem formschönen Lokgehäuse gilt die 1500 PS starke F7 bis heute als Klassiker unter den amerikanischen Dieselloks. Bei der berühmten Pennsylvania Railroad - "The Standard Railroad of the World" - waren die F7 häufig im eleganten “Tuscan Red” lackiert. Lassen Sie diese eindrucksvolle Lok als LGB-Modell auf Ihrer Anlage fahren! Mit zwei Bühler-Motoren verfügt das Modell über eine außergewöhnliche Zugkraft. Vorbild
Gegen Ende der 40-er Jahre stellte die Elektro Motive Division (EMD) von General Motors diese klassische dieselelektrische Lok vor. Mit der formschönen "Bulldoggen"-Nase und einer Leistung von 1500 PS war die F7 bei den Eisenbahngesellschaften und Fans gleichermaßen beliebt. Fast 2400 F7-Loks wurden für viele verschiedene amerikanische Bahngesellschaften gebaut, wo sie bis in die 70-er Jahre im Güter- und Personenverkehr eingesetzt wurden.

Between 1949 and 1953, the Electro Motive Division (EMD) of General Motors built an astounding 2,366 F7-A diesel locomotives. Boasting 1,500 horsepower and a handsome "Bulldog" nose, the F7 was and still is the classic icon of diesel railroading in America. On the great Pennsylvania Railroad -- "The Standard Railroad of the World" -- F7s often wore the line´s elegant "Tuscan Red" livery. The Prototype
In the late 1940s, General Motors' Electro Motive Division (EMD) introduced this classic American diesel-electric locomotive. With its handsome "Bulldog" nose and 1,500 horsepower, the F7 was an instant hit with railroads and railfans alike.
Almost 2,400 F7s were built, and for decades, these powerful diesel-electric locos could be found in freight and passenger service all across America.
