Vierachsiger Niederbordwagen der Southern Pacific Bahngesellschaft

Dieser Wagen wurde zwischen 1974 und 1992 in acht verschiedenen Versionen hergestellt. Dies ist die erste Version die 1974 und 1976 produziert wurde.
1993 bekam der Wagen eine fünf-stellige Nummer: LGB 40610 und war bis 2001 im LGB programm

Four-axle low-sided gondola of the Southern Pacific Railroad.

This car was manufactured in eight different versions between 1974 and 1992. This is the first version which was produced from 1974 and 1976.
The five-digit product number LGB 40610 was assigned to this type of car in 1993; LGB offered it until 2001
Features of the pictured car are as follows:
1) Unpainted molded brick red sideboards.
2) Unpainted molded black bed body.
3) Heat stamped white printed “SP 4061â€, etc. on sides of bed body.
4) Large flange wheels with steel axles.
5) Non numbered heat riveted male hook coupler.
There is a common mis-conception that the “first†production 4061 had pinkish red plastic side boards. That is incorrect. This car, which has dull brick red plastic side boards, is the “first†and father of “pinkyâ€!
